Coach Mike Henshaw stresses character as the key to winning

MikeHenshawCircleMike Henshaw (FA London) English athlete, won fame as a great soccer player. He always shocked the crowds with his daring dribbling, perfect passing and accurate shooting. Mike has been the Rice Owl’s Mens Club Soccer coach since 1981 and has built a successful program that has stressed character as the key to success on and off the field. The results over the years speak for themselves. He has played the game at the top level and has USSF and FA coaching licenses. Rice finished as League Champions in 1995, 1997 and 2003.

Summer Camps

Mike’s philosophy is that good players have to go beyond physical performance and to find a sense of inner excellence that will propel them to higher levels. His focus has been to teach young people soccer skills with enjoyment as an important part of learning. Mike always tries to keep fun, development and winning in proper order with teamwork and cooperation among teammates. He found that PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE will make a player.

Mike is always looking for the opportunity to create  successful soccer players and… he is succeeding! His training techniques are unique and highly effective.

Full Day camp is 9-5 pm (Campers bring or purchase their lunch)
